Everyone in the state has the right to be forgotten and should have control over their digital footprint. We are technology leaders in Massachusetts and Krista believes we should lead the nation in creating appropriate AI and social media guardrails for children and our environment. Food is more than what we eat. Krista will advocate for a sustainable food system that benefits farmers, families, and our communities. She will support the entire food system in Massachusetts from farms to fisheries with a focus on land stewardship, resource conservation, hunger relief, and public health.
Bring more state funding to our towns
Krista will fight for a fairer share of state dollars for local education funding and infrastructure.
Federal cuts have already harmed our most vulnerable students, and it is vital that the state closes the funding gap so municipalities are not left to carry the burden so that they can also support their essential services and capital projects. Meanwhile, the cost of health insurance for municipal employees has skyrocketed leaving local taxpayers unable to close the gap without additional state funding.

Support government transparency
Krista will work to strengthen legislative recordkeeping and accountability. As an experienced records manager, she knows the key to transparency in government is a robust records management program. She will drive policies that will modernize the state’s electronic records program and propose legislation that strengthens the recordkeeping requirements for the legislature.
Support working people
Krista will stand with unions and fight for good jobs, fair wages, and strong worker protections. She is proud to be endorsed by the Massachusetts Teachers Association, SEIU Local 1199, Carpenters Local 336, and Teamsters Union Local 170.

Protect clean land and water
The towns of 1st Worcester contain beautiful places that are enjoyed by hikers, bikers, sportsmen, and families. Krista will support wetlands management and land stewardship to keep these places protected.
Threats like PFAS and crumbling foundations affect many of our communities. Krista will support those affected by working toward clean-up, repair, and accountability around these issues.
About Krista
Krista is a Corporate Archivist at a non-profit technology company. She has been working in tech as a data governance lead and records manager for over 12 years. Over the course of her 20 year career, Krista has served in a range of public-facing roles—from teaching in public schools to working as an archivist and information technology leader at major research institutions including MIT, Harvard, Tufts and the American Antiquarian Society.
Her professional career has included developing policy recommendations on data-driven federal records management and serving as Chair of the Society of American Archivists Committee on Public Policy, where she worked with colleagues across the country to advocate for open government and responsible stewardship of public records.
Krista grew up in Central Massachusetts and graduated from Shrewsbury High School before earning her bachelor’s degree in History from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. She later received her Master’s degree in Library and Information Science from Simmons University and has built a career dedicated to public service, transparency, and preserving the stories that shape our communities.
Krista and her husband, Michael Walsh (a public school teacher in Sterling) are raising their three daughters in Princeton, MA. Since 2018, she has served the community as a Trustee of the Goodnow Public Library in Princeton.
Rooted in central Massachusetts and committed to practical solutions, Krista is ready to bring her experience, integrity, and dedication to effective, transparent governance.
